Friday, December 14, 2018, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Mala Making with Mantra Meditation hosted by Dora Chan Yoga

Treat yourself or your loved ones to an early Christmas gift with this special workshop!

The Mala is a hand-knotted string of beads traditionally used in prayer and meditation. They could also be a powerful reminder of the intention, devotion, or purpose you have set for yourself in this moment of your life. In this workshop, you will learn to create a short, 9-bead Mala strand, which is a mindful practice on its own. We will then move on to explore the ancient technique of mantra meditation. Mantra could be a sound, a word, or phrase that is repeated during prayer or meditation. Just like Yoga Asanas are postures of the body, mantras are postures of the mind. Mantra meditation with intention could be an amazing tool to connect you to a mindset you wish to cultivate. Through this beautiful practice of mantra meditation, you can infuse the power of your intention into your Mala strands, which could serve as a keepsake that you can carry close to you reminding you of your devotions and to uplift you during moments of uncertainty.

Join us for this empowering workshop and experience the wonderful benefits of stress relief, mindfulness, love, and compassion. Let your mantra bring you back to simplicity. Feel centered in the things that inspire you and bring you pure joy. This is truly a gift for the soul!

Cost is $25 per person. All materials are included.
