Jenal Dolson speaks about her vibrant, large-scale paintings, in which remembered landscapes influence abstractions; human hair has a formal and mnemonic function, and paint is poured, sprayed, and applied with an oral syringe to the same canvas.
Open Sesame is proud to present a glimpse of Dolson's bold, experimental practice.
Jenal Dolson (b. 1983, Kitchener, ON) studied painting at the University of Waterloo. She has lived and worked in Toronto for the past seven years. Dolson has exhibited in Toronto, Kitchener, Stratford, and other Ontario cities, as well as in the United States.
